You can roast them. It would probably have much more flavor.. I should try roasting them next time I make it.

T his looks wonderful. Since I like to take the easy way out I will be buying the nuts pre-shelled, do I want raw or roasted? I’m guessing raw. Great idea to mix the nuts, I tried a recipe once for a walnut tart that was similar but this looks much more interesting. Thank you!

Hey Emily… There is not much else to do when it is snowing outside, but believe me I am not complaining. With the help of our Xmas tree, it looks so festive around here.
I am new to using Sucanat as well, but it served me pretty well so far.

Thank you my friend. It is cold, but so SO magical around here. And yes, this tart is so delicious with just the right amount of crunch.
About Sucanat… I am new to it as well, but it has been working well in many of the recipes I tried.
