I have been making this recipe for over a year now and I think it is the best recipe for golden milk on the internet. I have also tried making it with the paste and was happily surprised that it made it so much easier to incorporate it into my daily routine. Having been dealing with inflammation and insomnia for all my adult life, I find so much comfort in a cup of warm golden tea especially before I go to sleep. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

In reply to Norma. Hi Norma, Sadly, I do not know a brand of turmeric that sells it with black pepper. Since the amount is so little I am not sure selling it that way would be a good idea. Though I will look for it and if I find it I will update the recipe.

In reply to Vicky. Hello, Himm.. So, do you want to use both broth instead of milk? If so, that's actually a great savory alternative. You can do chicken broth or better yet bone marrow broth. Hope this helps.

In reply to Vicky. Hello Vicky, The compound that helps with the absorption of curcumin is piperine, and it seems like cayenne pepper also has piperine so it might work. I would use a very small amount though.

What a delightful recipe! I have been drinking bone broth in the evenings w/turmeric and ginger etc. But with garlic, so its been more savory. This is a great way to swap out my intake! The cinnamon is a game changer. I also added some cardamom and used ghee & a splash of coconut milk for sweetness instead of honey. I think this will be great hot or cold. Thank you for this awesome recipe!

Delicious!!! I buy it fresh as well when I find it in the store! I use my food processor and grind it all up and freeze it into a sheet. Then I crack off a piece when I need it for cooking. I do the same with ginger. Works like a charm.

Amazing recipe! I recently started drinking golden milk and now I am totally addicted! Also, I had no idea that more than one teaspoon a day of turmeric is all they recommend, I’ve definitely been having more that one teaspoon a day…and I’m totally fine

Thanks for this recipe, it made perfect sense and it was easy to make a cup this morning at the same time as making my coffee. I made it with a cup of soya milk, a teaspoon each of coconut oil, honey, plus the turmeric and pepper.
Half of it I used in my coffee, the other half I kept in the fridge until my evening snack (as I write) of muesli. Yes, it was good in both. Thanks!
